Qin, the creator of Mae Mae, is also the mother of 3 lovely children: Amy, Tova and Alex. They are the original inspiration for Mae Mae. Amy¡¯s demand for itch free clothing made comfort one of Mae Mae¡¯s top priorities; Tova¡¯s demand for elegance fashioned Mae Mae¡¯s unique and individual taste. Alex¡¯s demand for durable cloths made Mae Mae aware that toddlers need clothing that is both long-lasting as well as fashionable.
In order to achieve the best performance possible and guarantee the beauty of every Mae Mae creation, we uphold the following standards:
- We start with ample amounts of delicate Chinese brocade, pure silk, soft cotton and fine linen. Together with Swarovski crystals, quality zippers and transparent organza, a unique design takes shape.
- Master seamstress¡¯ perfect the design and produce a sample that incorporates these quality materials into the outside as well as the inside of the garment.
- Together with our three children, other lovely children get to try out and wear many of our samples. Their constant running, playing and dancing quickly uncovers flaws and imperfections in the workmanship and design.
- The opinions of the children and their mothers are gathered, the samples analyzed and the design revised. This results in the creation of a new, better garment.
- The clothes are tested and revised again and again until 100% satisfaction is achieved.
Mae Mae is a nickname for all the lovely girls in Qin¡¯s Sichuan hometown. We believe that all girls, both little and big girls -- all of them want and deserve to be clothed and pampered like a Mae Mae!
